Drove approx. 200 miles (interstate and backroads) with my new Firehawks Wide Oval all season. Not bad. Like you said, it doesn't seem to grip on curves like the advans. Maybe it needs a bit of breaking in as well, and for my purpose they will do just fine especially after paying only 150 bucks a tire. Advans are almost 400 bucks each on Tire rack! we'll see how long they last. Firestone cant line up my car. Said something about needing an attachment to adjust camber/caster. Im going to Don Herring asap to get my car lined up. I guess I'll have to rotate them when I get there.
