Best Exhaust For Sound And Price

My friend has an ultimate racing muffler and he got it decently cheap. I personally like the sound of HKS exhaust but obviously on the pricey side. I enjoy the throaty sound of it and I am looking for a bit louder exhaust than an ultimate racing. I would most likely buy it in sections but just looking to hear what peoples exhaust setups are and prices you may have paid. Also is it better to buy a single companies full turboback or buy different test pipe, muffler, cat back, etc..

If you want loud and throaty look into the ETS V2 Extreme. And I would suggest buying all exhaust components from the same company so you can ensure precise fitment. ETS has a killer deal on a turbo back exhaust for the X.

Ya I figured that buying all the say manufacture would be best. I have just noticed many people do multiple manufactures for different parts. Wasn't sure if that was because of price or sound. Does the pop in the exhaust come from different mufflers or muffler deletes?

I have the Tomei Expreme Ti catback. Very nice for highway driving and such as it's very quite. But it opens up when you get on it.

Is the tomei expreme only a single exhaust? thats all I could find. I am more personally a dual exhaust fan.

I loved the sound of the K&N CAI with Cobb Exhaust. That'll be the setting I go with.

I really like the sound of the Evo X TopSpeed Pro1 CBE with testpipe. Its fairly similar to the ETS v2 extreme and half the price which is always good.

I'm after a throaty exhaust similar to the ETS v2/HKS hi power cat sound for an affordable price haha. Truthfully I think the ETS sounds the best from what I have been suggested towards/found.

^This. It comes with a test pipe with 2 bungs for wideband and stock rear o2 (also never had CEL either). Sounds is not bad either. The best is, its Half The Price of other exhaust (not including test pipe from other manufacturer) so you have more money left for that DP!

Why are people so in love with bolt-on catbacks? You can do the same thing for cheaper and get exactly what you want by going custom. No more fart cans please.

Yea thats what I'm thinking. Does a down pipe and test pipe give much sound difference or is that all pretty much from cat back?

The test pipe adds a decent amount of noise to the exhaust note. We sell a lot of exhaust systems to customers who have had custom exhausts made. Most custom exhaust systems are press bent which is not good for flow. We use mandrel bent tubing for a true 3" exhaust flow. No restrictions here.
