Im new to this site. Its amazing how much information you have collected.


I have a question about my 2011 Lancer ES 2.0L. I understand there was a recall for Canadian models about a belt tensioner. I have an appointment to get this fixed at the end of the month. Does anyone know where I can find the recall letter online or have details about what they are going to do? I have a few questions about the recall since my car has 70 000 km on it.


1) Should I do a timing belt and water pump at the same time since they are replacing the tensioner? (they told me the job takes 3-4 hours)
2) are their any other recalls for my car? Where can I check?

I just called Mitsubishi and was told the drive belt, which has the tensioner that needs to be replaced, is different from the timing belt which is internal. My mistake!
