Just bought this Evo x. It's an 08 with 60000 miles. Is there anything I should look out for. We're to start up grades. What are the week points. New to Evo. Not turbo cars. I have a twin turbo v8. But new to this. And info would be appreciated thank you

Ayc pump likes to go. They cost a lot to replace. There are a few tsb's

 

timing chain for 08-10 evos and and ACD pump are the two main issues. If you have the mechanical ability I would check your timing chain at least for any stretch, unless you know for sure it has the new chain installed.

I had to have my chain replaced and im basically at 60k miles... $1200 fix. Heres hoping I never have any ACD pump problems (which ive heard is a $2k fix), Might do a relocate some day. Although I heard some rumor about mitsu increasing the warranty to 100k miles on the pump.

First mods generally CBE, Intake, UICP, HFC or test pipe, EBC, Then get a tune. I'd definitely atleast go CBE first, the stock exhaust is real quiet and I don't care for it much.
