3 Evos and counting, 1st build recap (new to posting)

Used this site for a while now to gain knowledge. Now I shall try a post. This is my first evo I purchased 8-09-2011 in Peoria, IL.
Attachment 239010
Attachment 239008
Attachment 239009
Bought this with a blown engine. I think this was the problem...

Luckily I had some donors at the shop for a 2.4L build.

I started by machining for oil squirters and then deburring and polishing the inside of the crank case.

Then the same for the girdle. (Before)

Then started the assembly, look at how nice that polishing turned out. Not sure that it worth anything, but it sure looks pretty haha.

At this point I decided to make a few changes so I pulled it back a part and coated the pistons and had the block o-ringed.

Well how should I do this? Do I start a new thread for each evo or sum it all up in one thread?

This one died on 7-13-2013. I was looking for a while, trying to be patient, to find a clean WW shell because I personally love the white. It wasn't until 10-05-13 that I found its replacement over in Mansfield, Ohio. It was another 03 RR Evo VIII with 77k on the odometer and a clean title. It was a complete car with a spun rod bearing. Mods were a Buschur 2.0L shortblock with a Buschur stage 3 head, Bushwacker 5 speed trans, Exeddy twin disc, old school fp green, Buschur street core ic, Buschur licp, forge bov, BC coilovers, 3in buschur exh, pte 1000 injectors, walbro 255 pump, hsk 272 cams. I reluctantly paided $11.5 for it but I figured with all of the built aftermarket stuff it was worth it. Here's a few pics of it the night I got it.

Well i found the spund rod bearing and it was a bit worse than I antisipated. It rendered the crank and rods useless and also found some damage to the block that was unmentioned to previous owner.

At this point in time I no longer worked at the race shop so I had to pay someone else to do my machining (didn't realize how spoiled I was to have access to all of that until I had to start paying others to do it for me... that crap is expensive). With the block damage I was urged to use a different block for higher hp build. So at this point the whole short block was useless to me. I chose a highly recognized/reputable evo shop to perform my engine work from this point... Boostin Performance! I brought them my 2.4L from the wrecked car to have everything checked out before putting it in the new red one.
