Considering the Evo VIII

Since I plan to start modifying the car... should I get anything other then the basic package?

How about Mitsu's guages? Are they comparable to Autometer or Greddy?

The spoiler... Is this a "Factory" only option... meaning it must be done when the car is purchased or can it be done later?

I'm just looking for some suggestions as how to purchase the car.

Thanks for any help/info

If you really plan on modding the car save some $$$ and get the RS

Probably lower quality for more $$$

They are pricey for what you get. I would go the cheap, but effective route with Autometer, or pay about the same and get a much nicer gauge (GReddy, HKS, etc...)

You get the big or the little spoiler (RS is the exception). If you don't get the big spoiler, the little one incorporates the third brake light into it. This leaves extra holes in the trunk lid and lack of a third brake light if you decide to change later on.

Treat it like any other deal. Especially now that it's 2004 and the '03 models are still sitting on the lots. If you can't get it under MSRP (or even invoice), you didn't try hard enough
