I finally decided to join the evolutionm forums after years of lurking. A bit about myself:
I'm from Calgary, Alberta and I guess you can say I've always been a psuedo-Mitsubishi enthusiast for quite some time.
Prior to buying my 2014 Evo X GSR last year, I owned nothing but 1Ga DSMs (more specifically Eagle Talons..3 of them...) You could say I have a bit of a problem. I just recently sold my last DSM. 160,000 original kilometers, bone stock, original paint and all. She will be missed.
As for the car that started it all, it was a '90 Black Cherry TSi AWD. After blowing the motor, I replaced it with a motor+trans from a JDM Galant VR-4. I used the EGR solenoid to trigger the cyclone actuator.
Finally, I bought my 2014 Evo X GSR in Phantom Black last year. I've wanted an Evo for as long as I can remember, and I remember being thrilled when the Evo finally came (legally) to Canada back in 08. Given my previous history with cars, the Evo X seemed like the logical upgrade .
So far she's bone stock other than the window tint and Rally Armor mudflaps (for rally-racer street cred of course).
It won't stay stock for too long I imagine. I already plan to take care of the basics (intake, TBE, tune, etc etc).
Anyways, that's my little intro. Looking forward to talking with you all soon.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share you photo's of your cars. I don't think there are many 1G's around anymore, at least in my area. I had a '94 TSI before my Evo, which is why I bought the Evo. Have fun and again thank you for posting!
Hello and welcome to the forum! Great to have you here. Thanks for your introduction and for sharing pix with us. Your Evo looks amazing and I'm sure it will be getting only better with all the mods you've planned. Enjoy your ride and have fun surfing around!
