thats a good project.....

might cost you the same as a good roadworthy one in the end, but what else would you be doing on a sunday arvo, watching tv? now you got something to do

ps you might not know anything about them now.... but you soon will when you start to do your homework on here, theres a massive amount of info to be searched out

Yesterday I got the hub bearings. New axles in .put the car back together, change the oil an found gold metal shavings in the drain pan. When I got I drove home easily because of the clutch. So yesterday I changed oil took it for an 30min drive no oil light no rod bearing noise nothing I'm starting to not like this car lol

I don't have rebuild experiance, but others may chime in

IMO If that metal gets up into the bore, valves and turbo you might be kissing that motor and more good bye

So If it was me I'd be doing a full pull down and hoping my bore and pistons are ok. Remember you got it for 10 grand, mine cost 3 times that.

I'm going to pull the pan today and see what's up the motor runs like it's new no knock nothing no oil light. I drained it again an nothing in the oil. If it's running fine what else would would come apart in side the motor is quite you can only hear the injector pulse

Yea I would change out the bearings. You can have the oil tested just to see what material that metal is.
