I realize the question Im about to ask is probably one of the dumbest most mind gnumbing questions you've ever heard but her it goes.

I've noticed that exhaust systems come in many different shapes. Is it hard to find one that sn't specifically made for the mitsubishi lancer ES 02' - 03' that simply bolts on with out the need to weld it.

I already did a search and couldn't find anything.

Also. Now that I've admitted to being such a retard please leave the comments not about the exhaust system out of my forum.

 

wait...are you saying your looking for one that doesnt bolt-on? or your wondering what ones directly bolt-on?

 

theres no need to weld the greddy which is made for the lancer, its complete bolt on, go with that its the best (or the magnaflow)

 

there really isnt any need to weld any of the exhausts. they are all pretty much bolt on.

 

and all the oz exhausts will work, if you go to the magnaflow website they say that there exhaust will fit the oz, well it fits the es too i dont know why they dont say that. Oh well better to ask then get f'ed by not asking.

 

bushur 2.5" catback is a complete bolt on. no welding. and it sounds AWESOME!

 

I have a Ractive muffler, its amazing, no rice what so ever (but then again, I never really botherd to take out my resonator to put it to the true test).

But I was talking to one of my friends about this entire magnaflow mojo. He told me its a "crock of ****. Because practically all mufflers are built the same. What controls the sound is the number of dimples inside the cylinder... The more holes, the lower the sound. Magnaflow is only famous because they advertise more than anyone else in the market, not because they're noticibly better"

What I got out of the entire thing, is that its all about the piping, magnaflow does make good exhaust kits for the lancer. But if your getting a tail pipe, doesn't matter, in terms of anything. Just get one that looks awesomly sweet, and your set! :thumbs up:
