First Post/New Member/New (to me) Car

Hello EVOM,

I've been a car enthusiast for some time. I purchased a 2006 RR Evo9 about a month ago. I came from a few back to back VW GTI's with various motors starting with a mk4 12v vr6, and ending with a mk4 20thAE 1.8t. Once I had boost, I realized I needed bigger and bigger boost. I do all (well, most...) of my own work with the help of a grease monkey brother, and I've ended up here with my first big-boy car: the evo.

Anyways, the evo had basic bolt-ons and roughly 60k miles when I bought it a month ago. Overall the car is in decent shape, but it's not as clean as I'd like.

I've already began to battle rust, clean up random imperfections in the body/interior, and add little bits here and there, starting with an AEM boost gauge to match the AEM AFR. My goal for the car as of now is to keep it at it's roughly 330whp for a bit while I clean it up, but eventually to move into the 400whp range in a season or two.

EVOM seems to be a pretty good resource, and I'm happy to finally be here.

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the community!

Thank you for checking in as it is great to see the Evo's moving to new owners! Have fun with the handling and torque!
