Hello.. New to the Evo Family

Hi My Name is Rich and i reside in NJ, I just recently bought a 2014 Lancer Evo GSR used by the way..Phantom black..This is my first turbo car.. and I don't know one thing about it haha so I'm hoping I can get your 2 cents inputs on how I should start modding first.. I would love to start on performance before cosmetics.. But I'm limited on spending on performance cause I will be using the car daily from home to work. I was thinking about exhaust, intake, downpipe and a tune. Right now I'm researching brands that are trustworthy and can last for awhile. This is the start of never ending cash flow on mods haha.. Thank you once again for accepting me and be part of the evo fam..

Hi Rich!

Welcome and thank you for checking in with your new community! Your regional area is very active concerning Evo meets and events.

First take a look at the stickies in this forum, then wander over to the MidAtlantic regional for local activities. Start easy with your mods to make sure your car is setup and running properly. Have fun!

Bob

Like speedlimit said, read the stickys, they have great info.

As for some help with mods, skip the downpipe, it's not worth it unless you swap the turbo. Here's the standard list of easiest/best mods for the money.

Intake
Upper Intercooler pipe
3-port boost controller
test-pipe/hi-flow cat
cat-back exhaust
e-tune/pro-tune

All this should get you into the 320-330whp range and it will feel like a whole new car. I recommend ETS parts, great parts and great customer service.
