body kit question

I've been looking into body kits recently and it seems like a lot of you have them, but i had a couple questions..

How much did you pay for the paint job? and

Did you put the body kit on before getting it painted, or get it painted and then put it on?

Thanks for any info!

no...

ANyways to answer your question. Paintjobs have a wide Range Depending on WHat you Want and Who You Know. Expect to Pay around 400 To Sand and Paint.

Install the kit before painting so the holes are drilled and you wont scratch the paint fumbling with the fitment.

If its an accolade kit make sure it fits before you spend more to paint it.

Then get it painted and put it on.

I recommend Urethane ONLY, but thats just me. Good luck with the body kit search.

Note: PRFP IS NOT Urethane.

Some body shops offers a 500 dollar on 4 piece kits (front, sides, rear)... it depends but 500 dollars is the average cost to paint the kit..

If your going with accolade, try and get a Urethane kit, these kits bend that bit better than fiber glass but are harder to prep for spraying but thats the paint mans' problem.

Make sure the kit fits and always fit the kit before spraying.

Wouldn't be too sure on prices in the U.S, all I know is that it costs a good bit more than 500 dollars here in Ireland. more in the region of 1200! for a fit and spray.

regards!

Thanks for the kind words... and yes our products do stand above the vast majority. Anywhere between $450-560 for paint is Average for a full kit at least locally here in CA.

and in stark contrast to the last post...

why would somebody recommend a company who has their own COMPLAINT thread!? that raises a huge red light right there...

I've been looking at kits for my lancer though i've concluded i probably wont get one although i've seen some beautiful ones at sites other than accolade and they're domestic companies as well so you dont have to worry about importing something from sri lanka and having to pay extra just fo getting it past customs

Accolade has a U.S. distribution and sales office in San Bernardino.. Not only are we the largest Lancer Body Kit manufacturers we are also the fastest in terms of shipping now..

Tidal, mainly because of logistics... imagine being located Asia and selling directly to the USA it does prove its difficulties... but ask yourself this any complaints in the last month or so? Not coming from the California Accolade store.
And we are the largest lancer kit manufacturer and our sales are far superior to our competitors for this respective market.

feel free to cal me Brian

and I checked what you said and you're right so i concede to your superior kung fu

Just look at from my point of view though, total noob with very little cash and just being really defensive so i'm sorry if I got you steamed about anything... when my cash reserves replenish again (and after I get the instrument cluster upgrade from *insert forgotten website here*) i'll have to give your kits another look!

I was wondering about installing the Accolade EVO VII body kit on my 2002 OZ Rally, but I don't want to pay extra for someone I don't know to put it on, but then again I just moved to Michigan and don't really know anyone! Anyway Dave from Accolade (Or anyone else really) could you tell me (or if anyone has pics) where all the bolts are to remove the stock parts on my Lancer? I pretty much know where the ones for the front bumper are from looking around, but include that just in case I'm missing 1 or 2! I'd really appreciate any help you guys could give me! I'm trying to order the kit before June so the sooner the better! Thanks! and I'm out! If anyone wants to see what I have so far you can check out my ride here:

Peace!!!
