I'm from Newcastle in the UK and I'm new to EVO ownership as I has just got rid of my 700bhp spec C. I'm have now bought an EVO 6 which I'm going to make into a road legal track car.

I'm going to try and lighten the car as much as I can without altering the original shell and stick with a solid 500bhp.

My plan is tubular sub frames lots of lighter carbon ad dons and good aero.

Hello and welcome from accross the pond!

As you know a pre-Evo 8 is rare over here, please post a pic or two when you have a chance. Good luck with your build and have fun!

I didn't know the older models were rare in USA, mine is a bit of an ugly duckling but the transformation to a swan is underway

The UK seems to be the place for ugly duckling rebuilds, there's a lot of unusual car clubs over there

This car is going to go through a big change as it's actually a blue car and someone has wrapped it in white vinyl. I think it was t promote the persons business as its been wrapped for 5 years so that would of helped to protect the bodywork from the UK weather.

That wrap will be getting stripped off so hopefully a nice looking car underneath

Your car looks like a great pallet to start with! The first Evo, the eight, arrived in the US early in 2003.
