Hello Everyone!
Hello Everyone!
Hey guys, my name is Andres. I am going to look at my hopefully first evo this weekend! I've always wanted one and now I may. I currently own a 2005 Neon SRT-4 (please no hate, I do love this car lol) that is for sale and a BMW X3 that I would be trading in for the evo. The car I am looking at is at Quakertown Mitsubishi

Now, I called last Friday before pictures were posted and they told me that It was "no longer available" but I received a call yesterday that it "has become available again" (weird). It was originally Listed as an Evo 9 MR, then yesterday for a bit it said Evo 9 MR BR350 and today its down to Evo 9 only. I see that the car has MR badging on the console but no vortex generator, no gauges, no MR knob, no MR badge on the trunk so im convinced its not an MR. From the pictures I can see the messed up shift boot, worn out knob, and that the front bumper is being held up by zipties. If anyone can offer me advice on this dealership and/or what they think of the car it would be highly appreciated. Otherwise, look forward to eventually owning one and being more active on here.
Called the dealership and they said the reason the car was unavailable was because it "needed repairs" and given how much interest they have received they decided to repair it. I was told it will be getting a new cat and new clutch.
Happy Holidays!

Hi Andres
I ran the VIN & it comes up as a GSR if im not mistaken
The EvO certainly has been seriously modded at one point. Dont like the look of the front suspension & the stretched tires. The front fender gap looks very odd
Engine bay pic shows the intake system has been converted to "speed density" which is a relatively serious step in the tuning cycle of an EvO
Be careful w/this one & passing on it may be the best thing. Any other questions, please ask us & welcome aboard

Thank you for the response. I agree about the tires and fender gap, It was the first thing I noticed, I feel like I may pass on it. The lady I spoke to is very nice but she said I wouldn't be able to drive it until it is repaired but she still suggested I make a 2 hour drive to look at a parked car.
Hello Andres, welcome to the site! Congrats on your Evo, make sure to show it to us when it arrives home. A lot of good info here regarding mods in case you are thinking of doing any. Check out some of the garages and you may get some ideas. Good luck and keep us posted!
