Hello from Southern California

Hullo!

Just recently acquired a '12 Mitsubishi Ralliart pretty excited and happy with my purchase. I'm pretty new and all I do is lurk but now I figured "Hm I bought a RA what do?". I want to build the vehicle for the street, I don't think I'll ever be ready for the track, I just want to enjoy the ride and the build. I'd appreciate all the input and help I can get. Help me learn more and understand my vehicle.

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome aboard! You've found the right place to learn and talk about your new Ralliart. Have fun with it and enjoy your time behind the wheel.

Thanks for the reply and support! I'm really excited. When I first drove off in the vehicle it was a rush. My other vehicle is a Honda Civic HF, it got me everywhere saves me a lot in gas but I wanted something more.

Ah yea sorry for the very very VERY delayed response I've bee swamped with work and I think I'm still dreaming every time I park the vehicle and I walk out and I look back and there it is. Bliss. I'll post some up when I go for a decent drive.

Well, that is a nice looking EvO. Good base to start with. Maybe some suspension springs & exhaust to start

Yea I was thinking coilovers, slotted rotors, maybe bigger calipers too. As for the exhaust system I'm not sure if I want to do a cat-back or a turbo-back. Then I need to find a tuner/garage here in Southern California to update the ecu. Next I suppose I'll need to replace the fuel pump and injectors. After that who knows what's next Cold air intake/Short ram? Bigger turbo? Replace stock intercooler? Maybe add a transmission cooler? So many things to do.

I guess the goal is to push 400hp maybe 430-450hp. I've read on this forum and on a Ralliart forum that the TC-SST kinda kills itself past 500hp. Well not kill itself but it just stops behaving properly. So the main thing is to find a shop out here in California that knows all about the Getrag Tc-SST's get it serviced reprogram the computer and hopefully she'll be bullet proof. There's a shop out in Australia, MRT Performance, that addresses all of the EvO's and Ralliarts transmission issues. I'm half tempted to fly out there myself talk with the technicians out there buy some parts and used what I learned back there and share it back home here.

A lot of us in So.Cal use RRE (Road Race) in Sante Fe Springs

Dont really need the slotted rotors unless you really want them. Most of use the Stop Tech brand (Centric) & just use their Hi-Carbon blanks. They work great, even on the track

Sounds like youre new to So.Cal from AUS?

Yea I'm still relatively new to the area so I'm trying to get my bearings still and trying to find tuners/garages. Last month I got to check out JCCS in Long Beach which was amazing. I'm not originally from AUS but I used to live there for a bit.
