I am a new guy here and am new to the concept of buying rare cars. A few of the things that i would like to know is, where do you have to go to order an 03 EVO VII, will dealers be able to help me out with any information, and are all of the EVO's shipped over from Japan,and if so is there anything special that you have to do about that?

 

they do not make Lancer Evolution VII anymore, you could try send a inquiry to http://www.evolutionimports.com they can take care of everything from shipping a EvoVII from japan and making it street legal in the US...but i'll cost a bundle

If the only way i can get one is by ordering from Japan, then why did they recently print in a magazine that there will be 4000 in production for the US? Also in reviews that i saw a few months ago said that the '03 EVO VII wont be released in the US until around Superbowl 2003.

 

The U.S. will be getting the Evo VIII and not the VII at least as far as any one knows. Quite possibly won't even be called Evo.

 

First of all, do a search. And to help your confusion...the Evo is a Mitsubishi so WHEN it comes to the US you simply go to your nearest Mitsubishi dealer and buy one. It is no different than buying any other car. Just because the #'s may be limited doesn't mean it's not sold by every dealer.
And the "world debut" for the Evo VIII is Jan. '03. Repeat...the Evo VIII not the Evo VII. Only way to get a VII is by buying from an importer since the US has never sold the VII and never will...
