Hi I recently bought a 2012 Evo gsr. In attempt to get my emissions done for my plates I had to turn on the emissions monitoring ( car has no cats ) So I bring it to my tuner and he said the ECU is locked and he cannot get it. So I take it to the Mitsubishi dealer and they say the same thing. Cannot read or write to it. Normal flash or bench flash. So I get on eBay and buy a new ( used ) ECU and take it to the dealer to get it all put together so I can drive the car to my tuner. He says the same thing. ECU is locked. Did I just have really bad luck on two ECUs? Or is it something else... I need help any insight would be great on what to do

 

Find a new tuner.
