EVO 4 New Turbo Question

I am fed up with my internal wastegate flapper rattle, and have just decided to start fresh with a new turbo as I cant replace the wastegate flapper. Not a huge upgrade, just a somewhat better than stock replacement. This is what I plan on getting:

My question is, if I ran this turbo on stock boost, do y'all think I could safely run it without an ecu tune? Car is completely stock, except for 195LPH fuel pump. I'm on a budget, and was hoping to not have to buy a new ecu for my EVO 4. Thanks everyone.

Not something I would suggest.
The characteristics of the spool up and air being moved by the larger turbo will require some fueling and likely timing adjustments.

You could likely back the boost down and monitor with a wideband to make sure it is a safe AFR but this won't net you more power and it will still be kind of sketchy.

Since this just got a reply, I figured I would follow up. I ended up just buying an OEM turbo. tbh it's good enough for me, and I can run 18 PSi on it if I decide to invest in a new ECU in the future.
