Hello evom, it's been about 10yrs, and I have no idea what my old account was
Last time I was here I had an 03 VIII in WW, and I am once again returning with an 03 VIII this time in silver. My first time here I could barely afford to even own the car as I was roughly 18yrs old with almost $500/mo insurance on top of some "great" financing options a young man makes. Since my original evo I've had an amazing car journey and have got to see some of the best (C63S, R35GTR) to the absolute worst (literally any Audi I've touched). The entire time I have been without my evo, I have compared every since car I have owned to it, which very much annoys my wife. So I've finally decided to return home, where I belong and have missed.
I'm happy to be back here, this time happily picking up someone's incomplete project that has been sitting in their garage since 2014 not moving, and I got it for a disgustingly low price. The plan is to turn it into my "cheap" (LOL) AX/TT car, and scrap whatever they were in the middle of 10yrs ago and give it all to English Racing for a full crate build. As much as I'd like to keep the 60k motor I'd rather hand it to them for the core charge
Below are some pics of the dust monster car sitting in PA while I wait for the shipper to arrive (hopefully Monday), and I can finally get started ordering parts and tearing it down completely. I'm also throwing in some bonus picks of the GTR because I love her so much, and the trips between PDX and Reno are amazing (she's done it almost 20 time there and back now).
most of the drivetrain in the trunk i know, weeb stickers but it's a great show 5:30 in the morining on the way back to PDX from Reno Local cop in Reno has an AMS alpha GTR and took me for some shenanigans with his friends thru their amazing open roads snapping some pics at my usual pee stop in BFE
Car is delayed on arrival due to snow, but the previous owner did overnight me the binder and title, this thing is like a mega nostalgia trip. It's got a buscher GT35R in it too and a whole mess of name brand parts from the years past.
Looks like last dyno was 452whp/395tq all the way back in 2007 shortly before it was disassembled. Can't wait to get into it and start selling off stuff I don't need or want
