Newb Seeking Help With Purchase Options. EVO vs RA
Hello everybody, I've been following these forums for a few days now and I decided to make an account today.
First off, I'm planning to purchase myself a Lancer RalliArt in the next year or so. I aslo plan on paying with cash. I'm just wondering what kind of deals I could get with cash and if after saving all that money if it's worthwhile to blow it all in one shot or buy an EVO from across the border? (Used or new... whatever works) I REALLY want an EVO but, it's not available here so I'm thinking on settling for the RalliArt.
I don't want to wait till 2006-2007 for an Evo either, lol... I'd rather just buy a RalliArt or get one from another country. What do you people think?
I would REALLY appreaciate any feedback from anyone. This is my future we're talking about
hehe Welp, I'll be looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks and all that jazz

Here's my plan.
I looked at my finances. First off, as much as I'd like to buy both the STi and the EVO, I realize I will want to mortgage/finance a house, a grand piano, and a few other things.
So, here's my plan. The next car I buy (I'm currently in my parent's old car) will be the in 20K range so that I can pay off the payments and have some money left to do other things (like... uhh... mod... hehehe). That's why I'm looking at the Lancer Ralliart.
Then, if I have the money way later on, consider trading in the Lancer RA (if I really really wanted to) and get an EVO.
A few years down the road, you could trade in the car? But you lose a lot of money that way. You could just get a used Mitsu right now and wait for the EVO if you REALLY like it?

Well according to Graeme the EVO will be in Canada sometime in '05 and that's when I'm planning to buy a car, so if the EVO's out then, YAY! lol and if I gotta wait till like '06-'07 I'll just buy an RA...
