Hello

Hello.
I'm new to this forum but I have already learned alot about the Evo's and have some questions.

I'm a 17 year old whos going on 18 next year and what a better way to celebrate but by getting a new car. I already have some money and more is coming( job ) I was looking into the new Evo 8 coming out but I called dealers and the make up are going to be a b****. So I took a look at EI and became interested there. So here are my questions.

1. In terms of preformance, what is the 0-60 and 1/4 mile of a Evo 7.

2. Gas milage??

3. Where are some good site to find preformance parts. (Intakes,exhaust....)

Thanks for your time.

Don't count on good gas mileage. I would probably say about 20-23 stock. That is a guess. you will also have to run the fancy (91+) stuff because boost has the same affect as compression!

0-60mph=4.8
1/4 mile=high 12's to low 13's stock

I would sit on your hands until IE gets the final word on the legality of those EVO's in LA. I talked to the IE guy and he told me 2-3 weeks. Can you wait that long? If they are a go, I woule WAY rather have one of those than the USDM version!

Oh, and a good site for parts (Expensive) is . Taka Kaira They are in Japan, but they are hella expensive. That is the price that you are going to have to pay for now because nobody is bringing in parts for that car yet. As soon as they hit the shores you are going to see hella markup, until they settle in after 12-18 months, then the free market will knock the price gougers off of thier high horses and bring the JDM into the affordable range. It just started happening with WRX parts a few months ago. A year ago, STi injectors were $800. Now they are $400. Free market economy baby...gotta love it.

I may beging to import parts soon. My family is in Japan, and I go there often. I do not believe in ripping people off. "Enough to survive", that is my motto!

Good luck,

Andy

Thank you so much for your post. It helped alot. I am planning to get a Evo in the beginning of next year. Do you think EI might lower the price since the 8 is coming to the US??
