the heads are the same. think about getting the G94 intake manifold and throttle body instead. the TB is 55mm stock. the only thing about it is that it might mess with your intake cuz the TB will be in a different place.

Weight reduction is good, no matter what type of motor you're running.

well my Lancer came out of the factory weighing 990kg which I think is about 2178lb I reduce the weight on race days by removing the back seat the spare tyre and having less than 1/4 tank of fuel plus all the other stuff/junk that you tend to have in a car apart from taking the front seat out there is not much left the body kit has reduced weight in it as well compared to stock.

but it amazing as to what how you can create power without having to add power in mods but it is getting very hard indeed without going over board and so far left field that you just end up looking stupid - I will however stop at door trims carpet dash -too much mucking around with that better tyres will help out some R comps sound good though

my T/B is already at 55mm - however on this friday coming I am getting a new air flow meter put on the car which will make a huge difference to what other mods we do to the car as it will make dyno time only 20mintues and still be able to have the car run and behave like a stock but with all the added benifits of a worked car this mod has been done to a few cars over here with RPW and the results are fantastic so a bigger t/b is certainly on the cards probably look at a 60mm or 58mm not sure yet all comes down to how much money I have

well I got the car back from getting a bigger air flow meter and an upgrade in the GReddy E manage firmware and sending it over to get some tuning from Speedworks, I did not get a hp. gain but we did manage to clean up the power curve I used to have a dip in power at the 4000rpm point to 4500rpm and then it would jump back up now it is a perfect clean line going up, the car is running a little leaner I think in cruise mode it is at 16:1 were as it had been about 12:1 it revs very clean and crisp now and powers all the way thru to about 7000rpm with great take off power

looking forward to taking it to the track now as the car is feeling much quicker I think it is good for 15.4's at least

now that we can tune the car more effectively and easier I am now looking at the larger t/b either the 58mm or the 60mm and putting in the stage 2 cam with valve springs and injectors this should take the car up to about 150- 160hp at the wheels and hopefully a sub 15second pass and won't lose any driveability
