New Lancer owner...
Hey everybody... I just bought a 2003 Lancer ES and had a few questions. I traded in my 97 sunfire for it and picking it up later today.
First any tips would be welcomed, what to look for? what to expect?
Also does anybody have any pictures of red Lancers with tinted windows? I want to tint my windows right away but i'm not sure how dark should i do it. (or go dark at the back and lighter at the front).
I was checking ebay for parts and found a few things that i might want :

Are those lights any good? Or its not worth it?

I aslo want to get a spoiler? Any tips on that? Shipping to Toronto is really expansive though. I also found one at a junk yard from 2003 lancer but its a 2 hour drive to get it .
Eventually i want to get rims and better tires too. I dont know if stock tires are any good or not? Are they good for winter driving?
Also what about the sound system? When i was doing research I think read that it was 140 W. How do you like it?

so you're getting a red one? wanna trade trunks? my car's silver though, so you'd have to paint it. i'm getting an evo7 spoiler, so i need a wingless trunk to colour match.
my personal preference is to have the same tint levels all around, it just looks more even that way, but you want to definitely check with the dealership and see what your limit is. i have 20% all around.
as far as the bulbs go, i've had mine on for almost half a year, and they haven't burnt out. they even have melted plastic on them from my battery (long story), but they just keep on goin'.

yep, it's the dealer one, cause i have an oz. sorry, i edited my first post to say trunk trade. i figure if you're going to get it painted, you have to paint the whole piece to colour match the car anyway.
i'm getting an evo7 spoiler, which doesn't have the middle hole, so i need a trunk that doesn't have the middle hole cut into it.
