The 2004 Lancer es/ls/ralliart

Hi!
I'm new here, and I hope I'll find this place as informative and friendly as it looks to be.
First off, I've never driver a Lancer, but Im planning on buying one really soon(i've been in one, and fell in love). But before I do, I am wondering if there are any technical problems I'd have to know about.
Which type should I get? How would it handle?
If anyone could help me out here, that would be great!
Thanks in advance!

Yeah if I had the choice again, I'd go RA. There's ALREADY so much more for that car than the other 3 models it's ridiculous! And with everybody trying to tap that MiVEC a$$ I won't be surprised if us "regular" lancer owners don't ever see another mod

And for you performance questions: go drive one!! it's not like it's an Evo and you have to have a $5k deposit just to sit in one (ok, it's not that bad, but very very few people have been given test drives without a lot of cash in hand)

Thanks,
I'll make sure I'll go for the ralliart... but, honestly, how would it handle?
Like, completly stock, how does it handle? what problems might it have? Is it any good without mods? And so fourth...
I'm used to the troublesome domestic cars, so I'm a little frantic about spending more then ten thousand on any car

Having watched a stock RA run a street course last weekend, I'd say it went well. That, and the RA has stiffer struts in front and back that the standard Lancers as well as a stock front strut bar.
