After doing some basic mods such as intake, header, etc. I want to put in either a 50-75 shot of NOS.

Has anyone done this yet and if so, what do you think? I don't have the money for a turbo or supercharger and wouldn't be using the NOS very often.

the 4G94's pistons ring lands cannot take the abuse nos makes. i think everyone that used nos blew one of their pistons...even with like a 25-30 shot you'll still run into problems. jus get a turbo.

 

you dont have money for turbo but money for nos. getting nos will be close enough for the cost of turbo because you have to prepare your engine for it

 

yea id have to agree with zlancer nos n the lancer dont go together well... to be able to run any level of nos *safely* you are gonna need to get overbored pistons and rings n what not which arent gonna be cheap not to mention installation. in the end you are just hurting your engine with nos your safest bet is to go with turbo or maybe a supercharger from rippmods. anyway you go theres no real CHEAP way to get the lancer to be real fast.... the engine just isnt setup for it without a series of mods to maximize the efficiency of the 4g94. just my .02

on another board I spend some time on, if someone puts "NOS" it changes it to "GAY"

pretty funny to watch people talk about the "150 shot of GAY" they have on their car

 

the 4g94 can't handle it - what about the 4g63? (that's the evo VIII's engine, right? - or is it 64?)
