If you can keep your foot out of the accelerator you'll be fine. So expect to spend a lot more on gas with the evo; cuz keeping off the gas is nearly impossible.

My car is completely factory with about 3300 miles on it. I'm getting anywhere from 275 to 290 miles on 12.5 to 13 gallons. So on average, I'm getting 21-23 mpg, mostly highway driving to work in Dallas. I've seen other people post much lower than that (anywhere from 210 to 250 miles on a tank). I must not be having enough fun in mine But siantjab is right--if you can stay off boost, you'll do better. Tough to do, though. Good luck.

Man, you guys make me cry. I don't drive too much on the interstates so I get more like 190 - 220 a tank! That's the hurt with these prices.

I need to control my right foot a little more.

I get 210 to 250 on city and 240 to 280 highway per tank. I run 93 octane.

The tiny gas tank and no cruise control makes for slightly annoying pit stops on long road trips, but getting on and off the freeway is fun.

When I drove to Vegas I got 280ish miles out of my tank. Usually end up having to get gas around 220 miles normally.

maybe slightly off topic

but here goes - does driving at a more-or-less constant 90mph hurt the turbo?
On road trips, I mean - this is one of only a handful of things that I miss about my 350Z - I could set the CRUISE on 90 on it - and still got 25mpg.... I got about the same 16mpg with the Z as the Evo in the city, but the turbo sucks up the gas on the high speed highway trips. I did a 1500 mile round trip over a long weekend and I averaged around 20mpg. Thank God 93 is ONLY 2.15 a gallon, now.
