Hey Fella's, Im just about to sell my 2002 GS Eclipse to a private party and am gonna use that money to buy me on these babies. I've been around the thread and im not looking to buy the MR and don't plan to wait for the 05 model, but i am looking for a run down of the differences between the 03 and 04 Evo and i am thankful for all help.

As far as i know there are no differences on the 03 and 04 models except maybe the cabin filter thingy. The 05 models is another story.

 

i heard that the 04 Rs has LSD in the front....

 

The RS does have a LSD. But I think the only differences between the GSR 03 and 04 are the optional leather seats and Infinity radio.

 

The 04 has clearbra material where the 03s get rock chips. The 04s also have a better warranty (theoretically). The RS has a number of differences obviously.

 

Just the Warrentee, which if you do anything to the car you will void anyway. From what I hear mitstu isn't that great to deal with if you have a moded car.
there is the infinity stereo but seriously who here keeps a stock stereo in their car lol

 

Curious about the lights, do 04's come standard with HID's, or is it an option like the 05 SSL package?

 

if i remember right the 03 and 04 come with h.i.d. but the only difference i seen is that the 03 has a black hose coming off somewhere in the area of the intake manifold( dont remember where)and goes in the front side of the passager fender and the 04 doesn't have it. Still till this date i haven't found out what that hose is for. good look on your evo
