Another Ralliart Newbie
I've been lurking for a couple of weeks but didn't feel qualified to join this forum until I bought a Lancer.......which I did last Saturday: '04 Ralliart 4-door sedan in Cool Silver Metallic.
I looked at a few of other brands, the most competitive being the Mazda 3 (although I never test drove the equivalent sporty version of the Focus). The Mazda 3 has a more up-market interior and some interesting options but that car isn't close to being the "driver's car" that the Ralliart is. Also, I figure that the effective price of the Mazda 3 is about $2.5k to 3k higher than the sort of deal that can be negotiated on the Ralliart.
I know that many here are young, or sort-of-young, fun-loving drivers but I must confess to old geezerdom.....ahem, in my 50's, ahem. There are quite a few of us gray hairs that enjoy a smaller car that has "getup & go" and revels in carving the corners. My previous car was the "classic" original Sentra SE-R (1991 vintage.....now passed on to my son), our other family car is a 3000 GTSL, and lurking in the garage is another classic: 1983 Suzuki 750ES motorcycle.
I am glad to join this happy band, and hope that I can contribute in the future......I have already benefited much by reading the posts of others here.
