RRM Turbo or Brand new engine?
RRM Turbo or Brand new engine?
I'm going to buy a OZ lancer soon..and i'm considering several ways to squeeze more than the measly 120hp out of it.
The RRM turbo kit is $3500..ain't cheap but worth it. Does anyone know exactly how much HP it adds??
On the other hand, I can get an Eclipse engine (4G63...same as evo) for $1899, which is 205hp base and already has turbo.
What is the better way to go? advantage/disadvtange to each?
Thanks for any suggestions

Turbocharge it. Don't waste time, money and resources on a more or less inefficient engine swap. RPW also has a kit that's worth looking into and, depending upon your end goal, turbocharging isn't the only way to get more power out of the car. Read around a bit. It should help.
Eclipse engine won't fit very easy. Engine and trans face the opposite way. Serious $ involved in fitting it into the car.
