wat mods can i do without vioding warranty!
I got my evo this past weekend, and was planning on putting a lot of money into it, but my question is, what mods can i and can't i do with out voiding the warranty of the car??
haha good luck. As soon as you drive off the lot i think your warranty is shot from what I have read. Hell, I cant even get the rock chips behind the rear doors on my Evo repaired like a lot of people on here have done.
Tinted windows.
Actually you can get whatever you want if you have a good relationship with the dealership.
I have upgraded my tires to 255/35/18 on my 3000GT and that would have voided the drivetrain warrenty because the extra weight and tire traction can cause stress on the transfercase, tanny, and rear diff if the dealer said so. The dealer I bought the car gave me a new transmission anyway eventhough I put in GL5 and ****ed it all up (which I told them btw) they still gave me the tranny for free. At the time, I also had a dual fraction center force clutch, boost controller, full custom turbo back 3.5" exhaust and intake.
This was at Tyson's Corner Mitsubishi in VA but the service manager is not there anymore. I have some good times and bad times at that dealership but all in all I would still recommand people there.
I got my 1993 3000GT VR4 in October for $11,000 under MSRP at $28,000.

Asked my Dealer the same question and they said you are pretty safe with an intake, grounding kit and exhaust. Anything else and you are walking on a fine line but each dealer is different. Ask your service department.

Depends on the dealer, but I agree with exhaust, bov, flash (unless they find it somehow) and grounding kit. Intake I have heard they can get really sticky on. Especially the open filter ones... they say that more dirt and water can get in so....
Depends on money I guess, but I think you should do, exhaust, intake, then ECU flash. This way you get the best bolt-on mod, exhaust (downpipe and all) then go with the intake, which will make you run even richer, but then you can fine tune it with a Dynoflash or UTEC or something.
