Keep your current Evo or sell it and get the IX? I saw a few pics and it kind of looks like the Global Lancer with huge gof lights on the bottom.

If the Evo IX comes to US, I wont buy it and will still keep my Evo VIII.

The thing is I am really thinking of getting the Evo 8 in Taiwan but I keep hearing the IX coming out. They never had the Evo in this country so after the US spec came(LHD) out they decided to import only 66 into this country. So im not sure if Mitsubishi will ship ship the IX over because since the 8 came in April of 2004 they still have about 10 left. If they dont ship the IX I wouldnt mind but if they did then it would suck because my Evo 8 would be worth nothing. Alot of people are not buying it because its over priced, 53K US dollars. Instead alot of people are getting the Subaru 2.0 WRX STI, (265hp version) for about 44K. Whats also good is that there are only a limited number of Evo 8 here compared to Subaru's which will be everywhere soon.. So far I havent seen one Evo 8 but already a few 2004 STI's. I myself always loved the Evo and never liked Subarus but the price is very tempting. Hard decision......

In my country you just can have an VIII in your garage if you spend 70.000USD. Tax rules...
If the IX comes with 350-400hp I can start to think of having one, because you can easy increase the stock EVO VII/VIII power to 330 with simple bolt-ons, saving a lot of money.
Mitsu must increase the stock EVO performance to keep it in first place, because a lot of other brands is working hard. Did you hear about the new RS3? V6 3.2 bi-turbo, variable camshafts and manifold - 350 hp!

I'll wait a few months for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR FQ400 to come out so that I don't get pissed at myself for not waiting for the ballsier version.

I am moding my 7 as a keeper (8k budget) unless I'm impressed by the US version of the Skyline if and when it shows up. There are so many new hot cars comming out who can say what will be available over the next three years or so.

I'm gonna keep my current Evo 8. When the Evo 9's come out I'll probably buy an MR, gunmetal color ofcourse.

I'd wait atleast a year before buying the Evo 9 just so they can work out the bugs.

Have there been any pictures released yet? If so, can someone post a few?

Thanks.
