My gurl wants an evo

Hi yall im new here, and Evos have always appealed to my eye, great cars. Anyways i was talkin to my gurl and ill be married in a year or so, and being that she wants a baby we were lookin at some nice lil cars to get. I looked into the TSX, new Subaru Legacy, and some others. All are great cars but for the hell of it i threw out the evo, and she just LOVED it. I was wonderin would this be driveable car as a family car. (1-2kids max)

Absolutely. Suspension is pretty tight so it may not be the smoothess ride for the fam, but it certainly can fit the role. You can also get some RECARO baby seats for the future kids! http://www.modacar.com/products/Mitsubishi/Evo/RECARO/

I just got a son, and he doesn't some to mind bumpy ride on the contrary, he falls asleep even sooner.
Sold my Accord coupe and left the Evo being a 4 door sedan.
I can comfortably fit my kid, my wife and all the necessities I usually tow around in the cabin and stroller and a week of groceries in the trunk.

If your expecting a child, don't buy the EVO. This is not a car for children unless you want your infants fragil body feeling all the "GO Cart agilities". I personally would get something like the TSX or something nice and smooth riding. When my kids get into my car they always complain that its too bumpy, so the wife and I are the only ones that ride the car.

i am only 19.. but i can only imagine that it is suitable for a family... 1) it is a fairly safe car... 2) it does have plenty of room and you do have room in the trunk for a stroller or what not.... i mean now getting an RS would be a little out of hand.. but your standard evo will def handle the needs of a family.. thats my personal opinion i could be wrong

I am so getting recaro baby seats when I have kids.

But seriously, it's a cool car, and I would say get it, but it you should find out what your girls driving style is. If she's aggresive, and she likes to go fast, then that could be putting that baby in danger. I'm an aggresive driver myself, and find myself addictivley mashing the gas pedal, but when I have others in the car, I don't want to scare them, or put them at risk. But then again, I doubt many people are going to drive the evo just to go the speed limit, and obey every single traffic law. I know I seem like a square for talking saftey with the evo, but I think for a family car, you could find something much cheaper, and much more fitting to what your going to need it for....However if your girl has to have it, then get it. Cuz it is badass. Get the recaro baby seats to though.

Suspension is stiff as mentioned but it is set up for car seats for kids it has restraint points set up in the back seat as well as the convenience of 4 doors of course.... Just a bit of a bumpy ride for baby's however once the kids are a lil older im sure they wont mind...

My gurl is by far an aggressive driver. She doesnt know much about the besides the fact that it looks good-lol. I even offered an infiniti M45 but she said she likes the evo, so im like damn we definately gettin married. LOL! Now we will be having a baby soon after the marriaige and my only concern with the car is the ride. I know the ride is not to forgiving. With a newborn baby in the car would the ride be too much for him? Of course there will be no horseplay while the baby is in the car. A friend of mine just had a baby and he has an SRT4 with Tein springs and sometimes his baby is in the car and its not too bad. What do u guys think...........Evo8 suitable for babies or no?
