How to prevent rust without center caps?

I was thinking of painting the exposed area of rotors since I don't have center caps with my Rota Torque wheels.

Has anyone tried to powder coat or paint the area?

Don't worry about the brake disc rusting. It's normal and not a big deal.

Instead, worry more about water and debris seeping into the wheel bearing when you run an exposed hub without center cap like that. It's not a big deal, but you're supposed to repack wheel bearings often if they get wet.

Spraying your nuts with WD40 would reduce the lifespan of your underwear for sure but would do nothing to prevent rust.

Missing center caps has nothing to do with bearing problems take a look in there and tell me how it would please.

Moisture won't be able to get into the wheel bearing without a center cap. One issue that comes up, though, is that the axle freezes in the hub, so when it comes time to change the axle, it's very very hard to get it out of there.
