shift knob

Before I buy a new 5spd shift knob, I just wanted to know how easy is it to change?? Any suggesstions on what kind to install.

piece of cake . . . . most aftermarket ones have tiny little set screws that are used instead of threads - - simple to do - unscrew the stock one - - put the new one on and tighten the screw - - if it takes you more than 5 minutes i'd be real suprised

Sorry for the newbie question but I tried unscrewing but could not get it to budge? Is there a special way of doing it?

bloody easy to do, i did mine, you just gotta slightly turn the knob tot the tighten way, and then to the loosen off way, as that'll break the thread grip from factory.. i have a nice silver one and that had the same thread, i didnt have to use the lil screwy things they came with

nothin tricky, and good choice with the momo. I went to autozone and copped a dope piece, asked the guy if he was positive that it was universal, tried it in the parking lot..guess what no way it fit...I'm still looking for a nice one that isn't a days work worth of skrilla

alot of MOMO shift knobs will either screw in properly from the get go OR either be put in by using the set screws that come with it...if that is what you want, it would most likely fit...
