hey i dont really know all the mods and stuff so i was just wondering wat does flash mean ?? and wat does it do for your car

 

Flashing is the processing of re-loading firmware into a micro-controller, in this case the ECU (Engine Control Unit). The factory EVO flash is, to be polite, very conservative and leaves a great deal of room for improvement. Flashing/reflashing it involves putting a better software load onto it ... both algorithms and behavior maps.
