Not sure if this is OK in general or if it should be off topic... I'm getting a new car, but will need some financing. I plan on getting a used car, but don't know where is the best place to get a loan? I looked at HSBC, but their interest rate is at 8%. Any recommendations?

I financed through Mitsubishi. Wasn't the best interest rate (6%) but I'd just bought a house and they were the lowest I got quoted.

 

I don't plan on buying from a stealer, so I need to get a bank to finance me. I looked at HSBC, but don't want to pay 8%.

 

Check at any local credit unions. They can usually beat any banks in interest rates. Most credits unions are allowing anyone to join nowadays.
