New member choosing STi or evo

Hello. I am a new member here and I narrowed my choices down to the STI and Evo8. So I have heard that the Evo8 is slightly better at handling and is a better track car. But what are some other reasons that make the Evo 8 better? I have heard that the STi is a better daily driver, more comfortable, better interior, a little bit more power, more reliable, and has an extra gear. And isn't Mitsubish in a horrible condition right now? And aren't they also voiding warranties when Evo owners take their cars to the track? Thanks.

Rob

The 05 Evo MR should have the 6th gear.

The new Bilstein shocks in the MR is surprisingly softer at low speeds compared to the ones in the 8/7 etc, but nothing approaching a comfort class sedan

As for financial state, well, there are enough aftermarket suppliers to sell u just about any darn thing that needs replacement any time soon

They are voiding warrentees on cars that have been raced but so does pretty much every manufacturer.
EVO Pro's: Handles way better than STi, much easier to modify, cheaper to work on, Much longer warrentee (if you don't race), Costs about 3 grand less, I think it looks way better.
also note exhaust alone will make it more powerful than the STi.

STi pro's: softer ride, more cushy interior, 6th gear (Evo MR has 6th but not normal evo's) a small amount more power stock.

The evo swayed me with its precise handling and the proven power potential of the 4g63.
