the reason i didnt get a more expensive car is cuz my parents wouldnt pay more than 17000. I wish i could have got something like a WRX cuz i wouldnt have to work so much to pay for mods. I wouldnt even worry about buying mods for it.

I'd rather have a stock Rex than a turbo Lancer. Considerably more powerful with considerably less work in the long wrong as well as the handling benefit of AWD. Same can be said for a much cheaper used 1G GST or GS-X as well as (albeit limited production) a Mazdaspeed Protege. All decompressed engines to handle real boost as well as having all the pretty decent goodies like good brakes and LSD's already. A lot still can be said about the guy who takes an econobox shopping cart and turns it into a pocket rocket. Tuning wouldn't be where it is if not for some engineer who decided that boy, a 4 banger can be quick...

I would MUCH rather have a lancer that is modded to max than a bone stock evo. With 20 grand, you can do a full kit, turbo, all the bolt-ons, rims and have enough money left over to put a sound system in it that will decimate eardrums. I would kill to have 2 grand to blow, let alone 20,000... I cant even wait to see what you do.. Thanks for pickin the lancer bro!! haa.. peace

hey ambiguousboy, if you have money to invest in a high quality body kit, the japanese ken style lancer kit is the best and tightest looking. i thought i was buying that one until body-kit.com sold me a cheap imitation. do not buy a kit from them !! please dont. read the " problem with apex kit " and differend threads involving their kits and youll see why. from all the horrible experiences people have had with this company it has motivated me to set up an import relationship with ken style. i will soon be ordering 5 - 10 kits from ken style in efforts to offer the best quality kits.. shipped from USA(my garage) and prevent people from getting ripped off by these other places. this ken style kit is made for JDM lancer and requires removal of 5 mph bar under rear bumper but this makes it look way cooler and not like the car has that gigantic *** on it like the stock rear bumper. i like it more now i just gotta cut my exhaust pipe a couple inches so my magnaflow tip doesnt stick out. maybe ill leave it like that, looks different. ill have pics soon once my busy life allows me time to figure out how to post pics on this site, well i can get that far but i dont know how to compress them so this site will allow the pictures. am i babbling? sorry i think my point was that im going to have a group buy of 5 - 10 ken style (original) lancer kits and i think i would like to see your investment go toward quality and reputation. no other kits except kaminari have this good reputation we seek. i hope to change that very soon. this kit includes... well look for yourself. its the front bumper, sideskirts, rear bumper and grill. click on the picture of the silver lancer to for details http://www.kenstyle.co.jp/international/index.html
ill post acouple threads soon updating everyone on the progress of this exciting transaction between ken style and myself. peace!!
