Used New Evos
Has anyone noticed that all of the mitsu dealers that sell their test drive evos do so with generally around 150 miles on the cars? Do you think mitsu has told them that 150 miles is about as long as you can drive one hard before it starts to break down.
Dealership here in Texas tryin' to sell me a "new" one with 750 miles on it. I was like yeah, uh, no, that's way too many. The guy then said, yeah, but I know the dealership it came from and they said they didn't drive it hard. I laughed and walked out.
I bought my Evo with 150ish miles on it. I also got it for 3000 under sticker price. So I didn't complain to much. car runs great. I though I was gonna have problems with the clutch. the first to times I got on it from a dead stop. I smelt the clutch a little. first time at the track tuesday night I had no clutch smell and the car did great. good luck to everyone on your cars.

most dealerships try and keep one car for demo and the others with low miles. i got a screaming deal on the Demo with only 600 miles. car was in downtown so no real spots to tear it up with but you could do some stop light to stop light test.
Hey im from new zealand and down hear in mi city hardly ne bodie drives a evo8 or an evo 7 for that matter, whats up with that i guess the price its about $60k nz dollar for one wen you could pick up a evo 1,2,3 for around $17,000 and most of them cut a 12sec pass on the 400mtre a, i reckon the earlier evos are alot better than the later model evos all equipped with the same engine , is it coz u cant import passed a certain year coz here in nz u cant import from japan 1996 and below which is dumb coz the evo3 was last produced in 95 and the most popular car in nz,

I suspect that the miles are likely kept low because there may be a limitation on the mileage you can put on a vehicle and it still be considered "New" regardless of if it ever had been titled..
I had purchased a dealer demo car with a friend a few years back, and when he received his title, it read USED... This might be an exception or an error though..
Is anyone aware of this? I would have to assume that if the car is driven and has mileage on it, it really can't be considered "New" anymore since it has wear.. So what mileage would they make that distinction?
