i think he's asking if there's a way to make the engine's redline higher, not remove the rev-limiter. I'm not mechanic but i think if you were to replace the cam shaft, get stronger valve springs, and some forged pistons/rods, you could effectively raise the redline. you should prolly talk to one of the evo tunung shops or a very reputable mechanic to get a knowledgable answer.

You can raise the rev limiter with a Reflash, or Standalone, or Piggyback. You will be limited to how much you can raise it by the valvesprings though. You can go to about 8K without a problem. If you want to go higher you will need valvesprings. If you want to go allot higher you will want, Rods, and Blueprint and balance would be a good idea.
