Question Is this a good first step??

Ok.. I should be getting a pretty decent stock option check in about 2 months ~$600.. is this a good start?

Burschur Short Ram Intake
Buschur Catback Exhaust

w/ these items purchased at random pay days..
Road Race Front Strut Bar
Road Race Sway Bar
Magnecore 8.5mm Spark Plug Cables
Road Race Vacuum Hose Kit Now

Later to be followed by (6 month estimate)

RPW Exhaust Manifold
Evo VII Style Hood

and finally when I win the lotto..
Road Race Turbo Kit (intercooler)

are there better options in this price range or even better less expensive options??!!

You'll have a great start. Nice to see someone actually used the parts index finally (noticed your cut and paste job with the hose kit, which you could probably afford on the first round). Glad to see someone is picking up another Buschur unit. Only real deal exhaust option out right now.

As far as bolt on goes, Paul.... look left. Great start... care to kick a small percentage my way? I only need a strut bar and some springs.... no? Damn.

BAD STEP! GO BACK! j/k

Bout time someone picked up some more Buschur parts. There's maybe 3 or 4 people on the forums with Buschur parts (exhausts) and my little compaign for them seemed to have drawn little attention. They're very nice people and I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed. Write a review if/when you get them. Let us know what you think.

i think best bang for the buck (most performance upgrade for the money) is the rear sway bar. it REALLY adds to the performance of the car (you'll definitely notice a great difference) and only costs $170. intake and exhaust though they sound nice are not as performance enhancing, although pretty much necessary if you decide to get header which is a great performance enhancer. don't worry about the front strut bar until you decide to do your suspension (coilovers best option, matched set). out of all those mods the one that you are going to notice the biggest enhancement is with the sway bar (besides header, and turbo obviously). sway bar is WAY underrated (see road///race sway bar thread).

One follow up question.. I dont really have the space or tools to do any of this myself.. and I doubt there are any import shops in Austin tx that can do this for me.. should I take this to the dealership for the mods or are places like Midas (for the catback) good.. or smaller shops that do good work??

Thanks

I don't think the dealer will install any aftermarket parts other than RMR. Midas did the muffler on my Camaro, and other than overdoing the welding, it came out fine. If you end up doing suspension upgrades, I like to go to a local guy who sets up race cars for the Springs, shocks, and alignment. Hope that helped a little.
