New Gsx Or Evo 10

If Mitsu decided to build a new AWD ECLIPSE with turbo 4G63 at the same time as the EVO 10 which would you buy?

I'd buy the Evo. There isn't much room in the Eclipse. It's a nice sports coupe though.

eclipse GSX hands down. 2 doors > 4 doors for me... it gets you more chicks

4G63 Dec 9, 2005 12:18 PM

The Evo would be "technically" better because it looks like it will have "Super-AYC" and all the bells and whistles. But that Eclipse looks like it would be pretty bad-a$$!!

I'd hang on to my Evo, but it would be time to replace my Eclipse first. So it would be the GSX the next time around.

superflyevo Dec 9, 2005 12:19 PM

evo..... more room

Jeff_Jeske Dec 9, 2005 12:20 PM

I would get the Eclipse. I dont really have a need for the 4 doors. All I really want is a car with EVO performance. I am a former GSX OWNER and if a more modern version (with warranty) was available I most definately would have purchased it instead of the EVO.

i really can't see them making/or selling that car in the USDM b/c of the Evo, We already have Turbo Awd for a price tag of around $30k. 2 cars competing with each other in the same company will be hell on the company thats not doing well as it is....but if it ever happend it would be a toss up for me

b204dr Dec 9, 2005 12:26 PM

they will only have one or the other for us market I would beleive or else it would cut their profitability and raise cost

coco Dec 9, 2005 12:27 PM

I would think the evo would be a much better car. It is like the old eclipse 4wd turbo was great but the comparable evo during its time was a better performer.

Back home, people were importing evos not eclipses into the country. From that I would assume the evo was a better car.

If they could shave 500LBS off the EVO and make it an Eclipse....that would be very cool.

I seriously doubt it would happen but I wanted to know if people bought the EVO because they had not choice......if there was an AWD 2 door EVO/GSX which one would they have purchased.

BLUE EVO702 Dec 9, 2005 01:04 PM

i would stick with the evo because of its name, but other than that i would mind owning the new gsx.

I doubt it. You can fit more chicks in an Evo. Not to mention the Eclipse doesn't have a useable back seat for whatever your dirty mind desires. ;)

Def the Gsx style, but it would have to look like a 2nd gen:lol:

I agree with you 100%. I use to own an 1991 A/T Eclipse GSX. I modded it and let me tell you it didn't feel as powerful as my stock Evo. My Eclipse also had AGX shocks and H&R springs, wider rims and the Evo still handles better. The Eclipse had a MBC, Hi flo cat, 2.5"TBE, still not as quick as my stock Evo.
