Mods that don't hurt reliability? Do they exsist?

I would like a list of mods that will not hurt reliability but still get me somewhere quicker. I'd like a list for if I buy an 03 or 04, an 05 or a IX. Thanks.

Weight reduction. Lose your spare in the trunk and put the rest of the car on a diet. The RS is a good example.

In the last thread that you started it seemed like you did a lot of research with what you posted. In all that searching did you not recognize the most common mods that everyone on here has?

As far as I am concerned any mod that helps the motor intake fresh air easier, and expel exhaust air faster an easier is helping reliability bwhahaha

driver mod

;) Seriously though, driving the car right and proper will make it more reliable and you will not break things...

btw, just search around for the "how do i get 300whp or 400whp" threads (about a billion of those on here). those are the typical mods...

RichEd233 - i would look into stage kits if i were you. Buschur or AMS, check them out. start with stage 1. or if you want you can find out yourself and email them about your concern if youre interested on buying their stage kit. thats where im going with mines.

wait...you dont have the Evo yet. i shouldve read the whole thing first. buy an Evo that you can afford and then ask about your question, this is a waste of time/thread:o . i think you should get the IX but it depends on your budget if you can afford it.

I don't know of any single mod that significantly decreases reliability. If total power exceeds 400whp on the stock block, problems may occur in the future, but that depends a lot on the tune, and driver. Generally, the more power the car has, the less reliability it will have. However, there are many instances of reliable 600whp Evo's that are daily drivers. These cars cost a lot of money (built drivetrain and motors). In a car, you can only ever have 2 of the 3 following characteristics ->Reliability, High Performance, Low cost

(i.e. you can have something that is both fast and reliable, but its not going to have a low cost).

Touche!

I was thinking this... I was thinking of a flash, a catless turbo back exhaust, and a cam... Cam for more power up top, for highway pull.... the rest for overall power. I am trying to see what I am missing, if this is a bad combination and why or why not. I had an SRT-4, with an AGP WGA set at 18PSI, hold at 16psi and that was good for 15whp 15wtq... ALL day long, and more when it was colder. That hurt my car not one bit, it spooled ten times faster, it held boost better and held it longer with less fall after spike. I had an Exhaust for sound and that was good for another 10whp+ ... see what I am getting at? The simple list of mods, some people have this huge list of mods but not alot really DO much for the car. I want a clean, well rounded car...

Springs just for ride height

Aftermarket wheels

Tint

Exhaust and a flash

Cam for highway pull.

Tune to make sure it's all koser and running right...

That seems to be ughhh good for what 50whp? $1500 bucks in mods right there? (power adders)
