how much HP can a MR tranny hold

i was thinking of trading in my ix for an ix mr with 3k miles, the mods i would do is: fuel pump, 21 or 22 psi, catback with a DP, stock cat, intake, LICP, and a clutch and flywheel, rims, turbo timer, and gauges(Boost, EGT, Volt). what do you guys think?

EDIT: oh and a tune

You'll deff. be okay with those mods..the MR tranny is good for around 500hp.. also depends on how hard you beat on it though

There was a thread about a week ago on this. You should be fine though. I was running almost the same thing up till a couple weeks ago and beat on it regularly and the tranny has held up fine so far. As for now I have a Buschur 3065 kit and its holding up just fine and yes I have dropped it to fourth to get around the freeway challenged drivers.

Tranny's have torque ratings, not hp ratings. I think it's rated at 320ft/lbs. Jon at TRE built a 6speed for a friend of mine. He figured about 30-40% increase in torque capacity with a new shotpeened gear set and some other modifications.

Choose a clutch that's appropriate for your goals. Most twin plates have the capability of transfering torqe that exceeds the capacity of this tranny.

So what your saying here, does it mean if i buy a good clutch then i could break the tranny? if so, how? the clutch and flywheel i would buy is ACT evo street disc kit + ACT streetlight flywheel combo, would that break the tranny
