Whaddup from MD
Hi guys ive been lurking for awhile. I finally got a new job, been at it for a few weeks now, and have the gross salary to buy my dream car (other than a Mk4 supra); an Evo 8. Im on craigslist about every day looking. I have two im interested right now, a silver 8 with 56k miles on it for $16,500 or a BBY 8 with 77k on it for 14,000 but its a little beaten on.
anyway, the car i have now has been my pride and joy for about two years...i picked it up for $1,000 and probably quadrupled that amount with the money i've put into it. i know its nothing special to you guys, but this is my baby. sorry if the pics are big, my photobucket isnt cooperating.
in conclusion, i look to joining this forum to gain knowledge about my next car, hope fully an Evo, and make some new friends while learning each day. cheers

where you at bro? i go to OC often and i have family in VA so i go south alot. plus it may be worth the drive to see some sick evos

ok i see i see. welll guys i just called my company for an insurance quote, and its reallll baddd haha. i mean i knew it wasnt gonna be pretty but the woman doing the quoting for me was practically losing it and said "i think its time you look at cavaliers boy" haha. so im 19 and its gonna cost me $3189 a year for full coverage, and $949 a year for liability only. that divides into $265 a month and $89 a month. please bring me to ease/talk sense to me fellas

i see by your plate and the cruiser that either you or someone in your family is an officer?
dont they have a company that gives discounts?
i know USAA works well with military folks. anything like that for police?

yes my father is a sgt and i am a cadet for now. i asked my mom and she said our insurance co. doesnt have anything like that, however our loan will go thru the credit union where interest is much less and that sort of thing

so they can't put you under them until you get some years under your belt? tell them you will pay your share, but it should be less.
