Which evo??
Hi
I am a bit of newbie to the evo world and after a bit of advice.....
So my situation I have a budget of £10-15k (could push to £20 for something special) and not sure which car to go for?
At the moment I am torn between the evo 9 and 10 and ideally would like a higher powered less molestered car fq 360 etc. Something that will hold it's value if not appreciate.
I like my mod cons and more modern interiors so am drawn towards the 10 also prefer the exterior look. But reviews I have read don't rate it as highly as the 9.
One of the key factors is depreciation so advice on specs and models that depreciate less would be helpful. I can get a 10 fq300 with reasonable mileage (40-50k) within my budget but have come across a couple of 9 fq360's with about 70k on the clock for just under £18k. Would it be worth stretching my budget for the 360 or should I stick with lower mileage 10 within budget? It seems 10 fq300's are quite common and concerned they will lose value etc.
The car will primarily be a weekend toy and maybe occasional track days but nothing serious.
Any advice or suggestions welcome.

Certainly tough to advise on the proper EvO for you. For me, at the time, there was no EvO10 so my choices were limited to the 8 & 9. Given the choice today, I would likely stay w/the 9 due to the raw, athletic feel to the platform.
The EvO10 has grown on me & we have some excellent examples, on the forum, of the EvO10 done right.
Im still more of a fan of the 4G63 w/its iron block, crank girdle & fwd, side mounted turbo. The 10 is heavier & takes a bit more effort to extract some real HP numbers
Cheeers,

Go with the FQ360, it has factory performance mods already included and enough grunt to leave it as stock without needing more mods. The FQ300 you will want to spend your dosh modding so better the up model and its bound to become a collectors model. I'd be happy with a FQ360 myself
