AMS Goodies in Stock for the Evo X!
In stock and ready to go!
This is the first step in modifying your EVO X. The AMS EVO X intake pipe is designed to improve air flow to the turbocharger and increase horsepower and performance. We installed the AMS EVO X Performance Intake with an AMS Manual Boost Controller set at the factory 21 psi on our shop car and produced a tremendous 45 awhp over stock! The boost held better with the MBC and didn’t taper as much as it did with the factory boost control solenoid.
The AMS EVO X Performance Intake is professionally TIG welded in house by our master fabricators. High quality polished 3” mandrel bent aluminum is used in construction and the pipe ends are bead rolled for a great fit and easy alignment. A K&N free flowing filter is included along with all new 4 ply silicon couplers and new hose clamps. Another fine point is the BOV recirculation tube entry angle which is completely in-line with the air induction path avoiding turbulence and maintaining excellent air flow.

The intakes we received all incorporate bungs on the intake pipe where you plug in your breather hoses just as they were from the factory.

IntercoolerPipe:
The AMS EVO X Upper Intercooler Pipe is designed to flow more air than its stock counterpart and increase horsepower, and that it does! With this simple upgrade we produced an additional 5 awhp peak and 10+ awhp gains in the midrange! Our UICP is professionally TIG welded in house by our master fabricators using high quality polished 2.5” mandrel bent aluminum. At the pipe’s beginning we designed a smooth, non-turbulent 2 – 2.5” transition for maximum performance. The pipe ends are bead rolled and the assembly is mounted to the core support (in the factory location) to help prevent couplers from popping off under boost. We also utilize a “hump hose” coupler to cope with engine movement so you won’t have to deal with torn couplers. All the factory couplers are replaced with quality 4-ply silicon pieces which can endure 50 + psi!
