Been drooling over the red UICP for a while. Why would you get the 1 piece over the 2 piece? Looks only? Or is there a performance benefit? I remember (likely incorrectly) that the 1 piece might pop off easier?

And why Al vs. steel? Weight differences? Al sheds heat quicker?

Thanks!

For the most part you are right, looks would be the number 1 reason but, if there is any additional performance to be gained the 1 pc has better laminar flow. The one piece has not popped of on the original test car which is tracked on a regular basis. As for any pipes popping off I would imagine it would be due to the installation.

Aluminum will not rust, whereas steel will. Weight difference is almost 3 to 1 meaning the steel is heavier by about 3 times for the exact specifications/thickness of material. Aluminum will transfer heat much quicker. This is why you don't see Steel intercoolers.

If you want to put JDW1479 and mine in the same box to save us on shipping neither of us will mind I think.

I'm thinking 1 piece matte black (I was wanting the red, but now, I don't think I want the bling).

And is it just paypal to Sales@MaxumTechnologies.com? How do you order?

Thanks!

Goofy,

If they don't have the polished one peice I wanted, then I as well will go with Matte black, and I can easily meet you this weekend to give you the money. Hopefully Jedi will respond soon.

I can't find a number to call either on their website. I like ordering over the phone.

Really? The phone? Man, I'm all about the point and click shopping lol.

This weekend I'll be carless since Kevin's putting the new clutch in.

^ Wow, already got the new clutch, your fast. Yes I know I'm old fashion but I would rather talk to someone. But sometimes I will order by the "point n click" method.

Personal choice. No performance difference, if there is it will be nominal.
