Love the new shift knob but two questions.

Even with the washer nut I can't seem to thread it down enough. There is still a gap between the knob and washer. This makes the boot move up and down a bit. Anyone have a solution for this or experience the same thing?

Also what way should the washer be put on? With the washer (with locking strips) end up or down?

Thanks!

The nut goes on first with the flat end facing up. Screw the knob down as far as it will go. Back it up so the logo is lined up straight. Then turn the nut back up to lock the shift knob in place.

Thanks I figured that much out but the boot is no longer flush with the nut and there's a gap between the nut and top of the boot.

Other than that the knob is awesome!

Does it matter that I have an evo 9 and not a X that it's not fitting flush?
