We designed this kit to eliminate the possibility of a burst radiator hose (and aesthetics) as we don't have any fitment issues between our turbo kits and the OEM radiator hose. I've seen a radiator hose burst during a pull and that is a dangerous situation, so I run this on my personal car to keep any amount of heat from causing radiator hose destruction The design is to maximize function and form as well as minimize cost to our customers so we built it with those features in mind.

Be Safe! I don't want to hear a thread like... "I'm having a baby - must sell the evo!"

Pedro,
With the tolerances required and some intakes really tight to that location (especially in turbo kits), that's unfortunately not a piece that we plan to do in hard piping.

^Depends on how much its worth to you to melt your coolant hose w/ a tubular that is really close to your upper coolant hose. Thats why alot of turbo kits come w/ some kind of heatshield or a hard upper coolant pipe. Its not neccesary w/ every setup, but some, yes.
